Mignon herself is inspired by nature and architecture, and you can see that in the designs of her many collections. She is also inspired by "mysterious" Louisiana, where she has lived her whole life. Mignon even has a Gumbo necklace and Mardi Gras bracelet in her collection. Educated at Tulane and Parsons School of Designs, she concentrated her degree in sculpture and designed her first collection in 1969.
