Birthday bars are very easy to set up if you clear off a piece of furniture. This is the set-up for my Sunday afternoon birthday cocktails this past December. My birthday is December 18th, so we decided to do Sunday afternoon cocktails because it is such a busy holiday week! We kept it simple with cupcakes and cocktails, and decor consisted of silver mylar balloons, party horns, flowers, acrylic candelabras, and homemade Southern Hostess confetti!

Backyard Musings
I have always loved Adirondack chairs... here is a pair that I rescued from the curb that now live in the backyard! Why would someone throw those away?
Just a typical table setting for cooking out... love my wine lights in the beer bottles with tiki oil and a little pot of lavender in the middle of the table!
Mardi Gras Engagement Party
Mardi Gras is always a fun theme for a party!
Last year, I helped some friends with a Mardi Gras Engagement Party for a lovely couple in Memphis. The party was held at an amazing condo down on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We were having such a good time that we didn't take a lot of photos of decor, but I liked this photo of the beads and masks on this antique console table. Simple and fun- by the end of the night, people were wearing all the masks and beads!

Chic Balloons
I must say that clear balloons are surprisingly chic.
Balloons have really made a comeback in the last couple of years...
I love also love plain silver mylar balloons for birthdays or parties.
Hanging ribbons, tulle, or metallic streamers from the balloons instead of string adds that extra chicness!

Why do I love the Mosser Glass Cake Stands in milk? Well, it is Made in the U.S.A. for starters... and it is the most versatile piece of serveware that I own! It comes in 6", 10", and 12"... it's fabulous and timeless. Whether you're serving quiche or cupcakes, you will love whatever you serve on this cake stand! Endless possibilities... gotta love that!
Blue Glassware
Why do blue wine glasses make me feel like I am on vacation at a fancy resort? Well, at $4 each at Pier One, they are worth it! I always get compliments on my blue wine glasses when I bring them out for a dinner or party... love that!

Celebrate Forever Stamp
I use this stamp all the time... I love it and I highly recommend it. When I receive the all too rare snail mail letter or invitation with a CELEBRATE stamp, I can't help but smile. :)
